EAST WENATCHEE — A helicopter hit power lines about 11 a.m. today, knocking out power to some Eastside residents.

No one was injured and the pilot, Ryan McDonald, 33, of Entiat, made an emergency landing in a field about 200 feet east of the power line, said Don Culp, undersheriff for the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. McDonald was spraying an orchard.
