WENATCHEE — A three-stage adventure race that earns big money for school programs launches Saturday for hundreds of area participants.
The third-annual Live for Adventure Race is set to begin at 11:30 a.m. at Wenatchee’s Apple Bowl and Triangle Park with a pre-event orientation meeting. Races start at noon.
Athletes in both youth and adult divisions will compete through the afternoon in a cardiovascular stage (biking and running), a games-skills stage (coordination) and an obstacle stage (strength and agility).
Winning teams will earn a portion of $25,000 in prize money for the school program of their choice.
