David F. Smith, 83, a 60-year resident of Wenatchee, died Saturday, March 29, 2014.

He worked as a radio dispatcher for the Washington State Patrol in Wenatchee and at Alcoa. He also owned and operated a roofing business and was a commercial roofer for 10 years. He worked as a foreman in the water department for the Chelan County PUD before retiring in August 1995.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Smith of Wenatchee; and his children, Roslyn Lawrence of Wenatchee, Gwyn Corey of Chico, Calif., Julie Matsumura of Lake Stevens, and Tracy Bert of Easley, S.C.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Wenatchee City Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Jones & Jones-Betts Funeral Home, Wenatchee.
