THE HEAT WILL HIT FIRST IN THE SOUTHERN PORTION OF THE CENTRAL BASIN... Orville M. Minske, 83, a 41-year resident of Wenatchee, died Friday, March 28, 2014.

He worked for the Culligan Water Company and for the Bureau of Reclamation in South Dakota. He also worked as an engineer and inspector for the U.S. Forest Service.

Survivors include his wife, Betty E. Minske of Wenatchee; his children, Norman “Norm” Minske of Omaha, Neb. and Terrance “Terry” Minske of Wenatchee; and his stepchildren, Margaret Cahoon of Cashmere and Janice “Jan” Ward of East Wenatchee; and his brother, Delbert Minske of Huron, S.D.

A commemoration service will be held at noon Thursday at Heritage Memorial Chapel, 19 Rock Island Road, East Wenatchee. Visitation will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Heritage.

Arrangements are by Heritage Memorial Chapel.
