WENATCHEE — Warmer temperatures trigger the start of gardening season, and at Ohme Gardens there are wheelbarrows of work to be done to get ready for the public.

The alpine garden in north Wenatchee held its first ever “Make It An Ohme Day” on Saturday, designed to clean up the winter mess and show people what it takes to care for more than 14 acres of flowers, trees, ponds and pathways.
