WENATCHEE — Saturday’s divisional semi-finals finale was a battle of netminders, and it was Wenatchee’s Chase Perry who lasted the longest.

Both Perry and Minnesota Wilderness goalie Kasimir Kaskisuo turned in world-class performances, but something, of course, had to give. Finally, Wild forward Omar Mullan broke the stalemate with a shot to Kaskisuo’s glove side after a clean cross-ice pass from Mike Coyne. Mullan skated toward the boards, tossed his stick into the audience and got viciously mobbed by his teammates as they celebrated a 1-0 overtime victory at the Town Toyota Center which came with just over one minute remaining in the first overtime and resulted in a berth to the divisional finals against the Fairbanks Ice Dogs.
