EAST WENATCHEE — Rafael Jimenez was a last-minute addition to the Wenatchee Panthers boys soccer varsity roster Tuesday, and that late augmentation paid off.

The goalkeeper turned in another quality performance — something he’s grown accustomed to this season — and saved his best for last as he made two critical stops to lift the visiting Panthers (3-5 overall, 1-2 Big Nine) to a 2-1 shootout win over their cross-river rival the Eastmont Wildcats (2-5-1 overall, 0-3 league) at Wildcat Stadium.
