Virginia ‘Jennie’ Pitts

Virginia “Jennie” Pitts, 87, a longtime resident of East Wenatchee, died Friday, April 11, 2014.

She worked as an elementary school teacher in Quincy and East Wenatchee and was also a school librarian.

Survivors include her children, Ann McConnell of Cashmere and Robbe Pitts of Whitefish, Mont.; and her sister, Romaigne Yost of Ontario, Ore.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Eastmont Presbyterian Church, 200 S. Kentucky Ave. in East Wenatchee. A private inurnment will be held at Evergreen Memorial Park.

Arrangements are by Telford’s Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
