BREWSTER — Neither Brewster nor Cascade was able to establish a strong degree of separation in a contest between Caribou Trail League baseball powers.

The host Bears (9-2 overall, 4-2 league) split a twinbill with the Kodiaks (8-4 overall, 5-1 league) Saturday, but could have had a shot at completing the sweep, if not for untimely errors in the nightcap. They won game one of the doubleheader 9-7 and lost game two 10-5. They committed six errors in game two of the series.
