After a terrible tragedy

Until now, my opinion had to remain within privacy requirements of Wenatchee School Board executive session. This has been one of the most difficult decisions our board has faced. We all know Mr. Ed Knaggs did not intentionally harm this child. And the district correctly admitted that we could have done more to make the job of that teacher easier. But key facts in the case stand, that there were four specific things under the control and responsibility of Mr. Knaggs that if he had done even one of them, the tragedy could have been prevented.
