Wild shut out, fall behind in series

FAIRBANKS, Alaska — The Fairbanks Ice Dogs beat the Wenatchee Wild 2-0 on Monday at the Big Dipper Ice Arena to take a 2-1 lead in their North American Hockey League division final playoff series.

The Ice Dogs scored first on a shorthanded goal with almost eight minutes elapsed in the second period. Colton Wolter got credit for the mark, which was assisted by Duggie Lagrone.
