NEW YORK — Okay, we get it, most Yankee fans had already declared war on Robinson Cano before he’d even stepped on the field Tuesday night. It was cold and windy and raw, which made it feel like a Russian winter in April. No one was in particularly good mood in the first inning, especially the Bleacher Creatures, the die-hards who, for this occasion, morphed into a small army of haters.

They booed Cano in his first at-bat, which probably didn’t come as a surprise to the former Yankee. He looked terribly out of place wearing a Mariners jersey, and as he said after the game, “(the booing) is nothing I can control.”
