WENATCHEE — Dr. Gordon Congdon Sr. died almost 13 years ago, but he’ll march Saturday — in spirit, anyway — in the big parade of the Washington State Apple Blossom Festival.

Congdon, named this year as one of a trio of grand marshals, is the first in festival history to receive the honor posthumously. He’ll be represented by his daughters — Ann Congdon and Connie McCauley — at various festival events, including today’s All-Service Club Luncheon and Saturday’s Stemilt Growers Grand Parade.
