WVC baseball: Rider, Rivera lead Knights to dramatic win

WENATCHEE — Lars Rider possesses the best stuff of any pitcher on the Wenatchee Valley College baseball team.

The sophomore from Kalama has the ability to generate swings and misses with his fastball, and he can throw a pretty effective slider as well. He finished his freshman campaign at WVC as one of the Knights' better hurlers, and was one of the Wenatchee AppleSox's best relivers last summer. Based on all of that, he entered this spring as WVC's top starter.
