CHELAN — Lightning strikes ignited a fire that destroyed two sheds in McNeil Canyon Saturday evening.

Orondo and Chelan fire departments responded to the fire and were able to put it out before it spread to a nearby log home, said Orondo Fire Chief Jim Oatey. The 6 p.m. fire was located on McNeil Canyon Road about 1.5 miles upriver from the Beebe Bridge.
