Canadian drowning victim located

OROVILLE — Divers on Sunday located the body of a Surrey, B.C., man who presumably drowned in Lake Osoyoos near Oroville on Friday afternoon.

John M. Mele, 43, did a back flip into the water off of a boat just off shore and began to surface before he went under again and did not reappear, said Okanogan County Sheriff Frank Rogers.
