Delores Jean Andruss

October 9, 1927 ~ August 2, 2014

Delores Jean (Drader) Andruss, 86, was born in Wenatchee, WA on October 9, 1927, to Edwin and Rosea Drader. She married Lowell Ray Andruss on May 24, 1948, in Seattle, WA. They made their home in Monitor, WA and raised four children. She worked much of her life in the fruit industry, alongside the love of her life, Lowell Ray Andruss and her sister, Barb. Delores was a loving wife, mother and friend to those who knew her. She enjoyed puzzles, swimming at the local Y with her friends, camping and boating. She also liked traveling to Reno, NV and occasionally the local casino. Delores was a huge dog lover all of her life! She also loved spending as much of her time with her sons and their families as possible, hosting get-togethers and was the rock of the family.

Delores is survived by three sons, Fred E. (Ida) Andruss of Cashmere, WA, Gary L. (Lynn) Andruss of Portland, OR, and Douglas L. Andruss of Effingham, IL; and three sisters. She is also leaving behind nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Rusty. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Ray Andruss; son, Delbert R. (Cathy) Andruss; and her dogs, Cody, Jean Boy and Baby Ray.

Mom, it is so hard to say goodbye to you, but we will gain solace knowing that you will continue to live on in our hearts and thoughts! You touched many throughout your life and will be missed dearly by all you knew! We know that you are with Dad and our Heavenly Father and that you are no longer in pain. We look forward to meeting you in Heaven someday.

Arrangements are by Crown Memorial Service of Tualatin, OR. Delores will be laid to rest next to her husband, Lowell Ray Andruss, at Evergreen Memorial Park in East Wenatchee, WA. Per her request, no Service will be held. Please make donations to the local Humane Society, in lieu of flowers.
