PESHASTIN — Fifteen homes along Hansel Creek, Ingalls Creek and Pine Ridge roads in the Peshastin area were issued Level 3 alerts to leave immediately after hot temperatures and low humidities caused growth of the Hansel Fire today.

Level 2 evacuations rea in effect for 121 homes in the Valley Hi community, and the Blue Shastin RV Park and homes on Highway 97 within a half mile north of Ingalls Creek Road remain at Level 1.

Fire officials from the Chiwaukum Complex fires will host a community meeting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Cascade High School in Leavenworth.

Firefighters today are constructing a bulldozer line in an attempt to hold the fire at Ingalls Creek Trail, and will continue to provide structural protection.

On the Duncan Fire near Entiat, advisories were raised to a Level 2 evacuation on the Entiat River Road from Brief to the end of the county road. Structures above Lake Creek Campground have been wrapped with fire-resistant material, and sprinklers were set around them.
