Two Columbia Basin squads set to compete for World Series title

The fact that the Columbia Basin River Dogs will be participating in the 2014 Babe Ruth 16-18 Year Old World Series, which begins tonight at Johnson-O’Brien Stadium in Ephrata, is certainly no surprise; as the host team, the River Dogs earned an automatic berth, and even if they hadn’t, they’re a good enough team that they probably would’ve qualified anyway. The River Dogs have a long history of success, and this year is no exception.
