MOSES LAKE — Grant County health officials said Friday that nine mosquitoes caught and analyzed for the presence of the West Nile virus tested positive.

The mosquito samples were collected in the north Potholes area, south of Moses Lake. They are among 28 positive mosquito samples discovered so far this year in Washington, although no cases of West Nile have been discovered in humans, birds or horses, all susceptible to the disease.
