EAST WENATCHEE — Over three years, Trina Elmes has had time to refine the competitions at the Wag N’ Tails Dog Day, held at Eastmont Community Park.
For one thing, the ice-cream eating contest had to be segregated based on dog size. The large dogs now have their own category.
“Their tongues are a lot bigger than the smaller dogs’,” said Elmes, recreation supervisor for Eastmont Metro Parks and Recreation. “It wasn’t fair.”
