CHELAN — July has given way to the heat of August, and the dust from last weekend’s rodeo in Omak is settling. Come noon Friday, the Fine Arts Festival will have the last of its booths up and the band will be getting ready to play.

This year’s festival, the 5th annual, will feature 40 artists from all over Washington and the Northwest. According to Laura Freeman, the Publicity Chair for the Lake Chelan Arts Council, half of the artists are returning and half are new to the show.
