WENATCHEE — SAGE (Safety, Advocacy, Growth and Empowerment) a local crime victims’ service center, is hoping to collect 300 bags with 25 pairs of gently used shoes in each. The shoes will be used to create a “shoe rehab” micro-businesses in underdeveloped countries like Haiti and Ghana. With the shoe donation, the agency will receive $3,000 to help local victims of crime.
If you would like to help out, fill a bag with 25 pairs of used shoes and drop it off at the SAGE office, 710 N. Chelan Ave. by Aug. 25, or call 663-7446 to arrange for a pick-up. Don’t have 25 pairs of used shoes? Sage will gladly accept all shoe donations, and bag them with others at their office.
