Similkameen Sunday celebration Sept. 21

TONASKET — A celebration honoring the culture, spirit and resources of the Similkameen River will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 21 at the Community Cultural Center of Tonasket, 411 Western Ave.

Members of the Similkameen Bands, Colville Tribes and Okanogan Nation will attend the event. Elders of these tribal communities will share the history of their people and uses of the resources of the Similkameen, Okanogan and Columbia rivers.
