Minor flooding is reported in the Sunnyslope and Monitor areas as a thunderstorm moves across the Wenatchee Valley on Sunday afternoon.

The National Weather Service has issued a short-term flood advisory for southeastern Chelan County. Weather spotters have reported flooding along Highway 2 between Monitor and Sunnyslope.

More localized flooding is expected. Rain was falling heavy over areas burned in the 2012 Canyon Fire west of Wenatchee, which could also cause flooding below those areas, according to the Weather Service.

A flash-flood advisory remains in effect through Sunday evening for all of Chelan and Okanogan counties and western Douglas County.

Firefighters were also called to two fires sparked by lightning strikes in the Blue Grade area north of East Wenatchee. Both fires were out by early afternoon.
