Man who fell off train identified

LEAVENWORTH — A 39-year-old homeless man from Wenatchee has been identified as the person who died after falling off a train near Leavenworth late Saturday night.

Randel C. McManus died after being flown to Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee after the accident, said Wayne Harris, Chelan County coroner. McManus apparently fell from a westbound BNSF train about eight miles up the Chumstick Highway, said Gus Melonas, a BNSF spokesman in Seattle.
