NCW — The Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest has partially lifted a forest-wide campfire ban.
Beginning today, campfires are allowed, but only in metal campfire pits in designated campgrounds on six of the seven ranger districts.
Only the Naches Ranger District still bans campfires in designated campgrounds.
The restrictions were downgraded because of cooler weather and recent rain, but remain in place for areas outside of designated campgrounds. When campfires are allowed, visitors are asked to be careful, keep fires small, and…
