Richard Gene Lehrman
November 30, 1944 ~ August 21, 2014
Richard Gene Lehrman was born in Shelby, MT on November 30, 1944, to Elmer and Charlene Lehrman. At the age of 15, Richard went to work on various ranches in Montana and married the love of his life, Trudy Ilene Hager. They worked hard as a team and soon owned their own ranch in Montana. In the late 1980’s, they got out of ranching and took on a Janitorial business in Yakima, WA and later moved to Rock Island, WA to grow their business. Richard was a man who strived on hard work ethics and honesty. He always said, “A hand shake and your word is all that is needed.” He built his business on honesty, integrity, and hard work. Richard was a loving husband and wonderful father, as well as an awesome brother and grandfather. However, his hard work also affected his health, which never stopped him from working hard until he passed on August 21, 2014, of natural causes, at age 69. He will be forever missed and loved by all of his family and friends. Richard loved playing practical jokes, in which his family loved, but sometimes it really irritated his neighbors. Richard and Trudy had three children, Roger Gene Lehrman, who passed away in 1985, and Brenda Ilene Sharp of Monroe, WA, and Gena Ranine Wrenfrow of Augusta, MT. He had four grandchildren, Shaylen Sharp, Tyler Sharp, Cassandra Wrenfrow, and Samantha Wrenfrow.
He is also survived by his brother, Ronald Lehrman; sister, Debra Hutzenbieler; and half sisters, Judy Stores and Jean Davis. Richard was preceded in death by his son, Roger Lehrman; and sisters, Verna Welch, Linda Weisgerber, and Wanda Larson. His family knows he is in a better place, but he will still be missed tremendously.
A Celebration of Richard’s Life will be held at Telford’s Chapel of the Valley in East Wenatchee on Thursday, August 28, 2014, at 2:00 p.m., with a reception to follow at 5521 Penn Avenue, Rock Island, WA. Arrangements are by Telford’s Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee, WA.
