Michael T. Fleming

April 10, 1967 ~ August 27, 2014

Michael T. Fleming went to be with the Lord on August 27, 2014, after a long and courageous battle with Huntington’s disease. Mike was born on April 10, 1967, to Garleon and Beverly Fleming of Wenatchee, WA. He attended Washington and Columbia Elementary, Pioneer Jr. High, and Wenatchee High School. During his youth, Mike enjoyed a variety of sports and hobbies, including baseball, soccer, and tennis. Mike also enjoyed being part of many musical theatre productions at Wenatchee High School and also sang in various choirs, including WHS Chamber Singers. Mike’s greatest calling was receiving his mission papers out of high school and serving a two year mission in Brisbane, Australia, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints; he was a member of the Wenatchee 2nd ward. Once Mike returned from his mission, he found work in the construction field, working for many builders here in Wenatchee. Mike also drove semi trucks for Silver Eagle Freight Co. and Ziggy’s Lumber out of Spokane. Mike was a true cowboy and enjoyed devoting his time to the Spurs and Spokes program of the Appleatchee riders. Riding horses and being out in the country is where Mike loved to be. He could also be found in his truck with his nephews, exploring some unknown area in the mountains. His nephews and nieces meant the world to him.

Mike leaves behind his devoted and loving father, Garry Fleming and step-mother, Sharon Wulf-Fleming of Wenatchee; a loving brother, Garry (Maria) Koplowitz-Fleming of Bellingham; and two loving sisters, Yvette (Eric) Stevens of Wenatchee and Tiffany Fleming of Bellingham; nephews, Dariyn, Makai, Elijah, Dante, and Dashiell; and two loving nieces, Lorna and Lily. Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Fleming; and grandparents, Harold and Rosalie Cronkhite, and Homer and Jessie Fleming.

Mike leaves behind a huge hole in our hearts, but we will never forget that infectious laugh and those bright blue eyes.

The family would like to give a very special thank you to Amberwaves of Waterville, WA for the amazing, loving care that was given to Mike over the past year.

A Celebration of Mike’s Life will take place on Saturday, September 6, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at the home of Garry and Sharon Fleming, 1537 Skyline Drive in Wenatchee. All who knew Mike are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America at: HDSA, 505 Eighth Avenue, Suite 902, New York, NY 10018. Arrangements are assisted by Telford’s Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
