THIS BAND WILL ALSO CONTAIN SOME EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS WITH LOCALLY HEAVIER RAINFALL RATES THAT COULD LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING.

Okanogan Highlands Alliance event to feature biologist

TONASKET — Wildlife biologist Ken Bevis will combine music, stories and scientific facts at a Highland Wonders event Friday.

The event will take place at the Community Cultural Center of Tonasket. A dinner benefiting the center will begin at 5 p.m. The cost for dinner is $7.50 for Okanogan Highlands Alliance members and $8.50 for nonmembers. The presentation, with tea, coffee and desserts will start at 6:30 p.m. The presentation is free and open to the public, but donations to benefit the center are welcome.
