Brian Gregg enters the Winter Olympic Games as a bit of an underdog. Or at least, that’s how he sees it.

The Winthrop native is the only member of the U.S. Olympic Nordic Ski Team that isn’t part of the U.S. national team.

In all likelihood, that’s made his road to Sochi, Russia, much more challenging. And if not more challenging, at the very least it helps portray the narrative of Gregg as a determined athlete whose taken his cuts…
