...WINTER STORM FOR MUCH OF THE REGION POSSIBLE LATE THIS WEEK... .A LONG PERIOD OF LIGHT ACCUMULATING SNOW WILL ADD UP TO POSSIBLE MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OVER A 24 TO 36 HOUR PERIOD. ACCUMULATING SNOW WILL BEGIN THURSDAY AFTERNOON IN THE CASCADES AND BEGINNING THURSDAY EVENING OVER THE REST OF THE REGION. THE SNOW WILL TAPER OFF OVER MOST AREAS BY LATE FRIDAY...SNOW SHOWERS

Lowell Roland Chocola, 78, a 10-year resident of East Wenatchee, died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014.

Survivors include his children, Wayne Chocola of East Wenatchee and Lynda Jackson of Leesburg, Va.; and his siblings, Sandy Schneider of Naples Fla., Claudette Wilkenson of Alford, Fla., John Verkonski of Yuba, Calif., Gene Verkonski of Mesa, Ariz., and Ginger Litp of Ontario, N.Y.

A private family burial service will be held at a later time. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday at Heritage Memorial Chapel, East Wenatchee.
