Rufus Woods: A note about today’s late paper

Dear readers: Please accept my apology for the late delivery of today’s newspaper. Our press manufacturer, KBA, did a major upgrade of our press motors and drives over the weekend and they have been unable to get the press back up and running.

The new electronics are not functioning as expected, so at this time we are unable to print the newspaper at our Ninth Street production facility. Fortunately, our friends at the Yakima Herald-Republic were able to print today’s edition for us, but the time it took to transport the papers back to Wenatchee made the paper significantly late.
