WENATCHEE — Plenty of welcome precipitation is in store this week, in the midst of a late-blooming winter that was threatening to be one of the driest on record.

Back-to-back Pacific storms packing snow for the mountains and mostly rain for the valleys are lining up into next week throughout North Central Washington, the National Weather Service in Spokane is forecasting.

More than 4 feet of snow could fall at Stevens Pass through Thursday.
