Wilf Woods | Examining Woodrow Wilson’s presidency — on Presidents Day

My Presidents Day was a happy one, as I finished reading the history of our 28th president, Woodrow Wilson.

Authored by A. Scott Berg in 750 pages, the book describes Wilson’s meteoric rise from Princeton University president to New Jersey governor to president. Thanks to Teddy Roosevelt splitting the GOP vote, Wilson was elected in 1912 and was successful in getting Congress to adopt a series of reforms on tariffs, banking and labor laws.
