DRYDEN — Waste disposal fees at the Dryden Transfer Station will increase March 1.
Chelan County Commissioners signed a resolution last week approving the fee hike due to increased costs of operating the transfer station.
The minimum rate of disposing trash will increase from $14 for 320 pounds to $20 for 420 pounds. The tonnage rate will increase from $88 to $95 a ton.
Other increases include freon appliances, from $20 to $25 per unit; wood debris, from $40 to $80 per ton; grass clippings from $30 to $45 per ton; and compost, from $45 to $55 per ton.
