EAST WENATCHEE — An intrepid little hummingbird that has been spreading its wings farther and farther north is growing accustomed to the cold, snowy winters in North Central Washington.

Two Anna’s hummingbirds have been visiting Bonnie Orr’s feeders in East Wenatchee all winter. They are among six of the tiny fliers that are known to be hanging around the valley, despite the cold temperatures and snowy conditions.
