EPHRATA — Three law enforcement officers working in Grant County were recently recognized for their efforts at reducing traffic injuries and deaths.

The Washington Traffic Safety Commission honored two of them for reducing accidents by young drivers. Grant County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Josh Sainsbury and State Patrol trooper Ryan Raymond gave presentations to all Grant County high schools. The presentations included viewing of two cars that were damaged in crashes. Grant County officials attribute a reduction in youth injury accidents to those presentations.
