Harley G. Babcock, 77, of East Wenatchee, died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014.

He had worked as a telegraph lineman for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad. He had also worked as a surveyor for the Bureau of Reclamation in Ainsworth and Valentine, Neb. He later worked as an inspector for the Bonneville Power Administration.

Survivors include his wife, Mary E. Babcock of East Wenatchee; his children, Jim Babcock of East Wenatchee and Susan “Susy” Breneman of Colbert; and his siblings, Harry Babcock of Bassett, Neb. and Lorene Mercier of Grant, Neb.

A family memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Trinity Methodist Church in East Wenatchee.

Arrangements are by Heritage Memorial Chapel, East Wenatchee.
