Ron Schober

Peshastin, WA

Ron Schober, 50, a lifelong resident of Peshastin, WA, died Thursday, February 20, 2014, in the mountains he loved above Peshastin. Ron was born to John Schober and Marjorie Gaines at Wenatchee and was raised and educated at Peshastin, where he graduated. Ron worked in the woods logging and as a truck driver for construction companies around the area. Ron loved driving in the mountains, hunting, fishing, riding his Harley, and was an avid woodworking craftsman. He also enjoyed working in his yard, creating beautiful landscapes.

He is survived by his fiance;, Carol Ann Bales-Zaske of Peshastin; his children, Jonathan Schober of East Wenatchee, Anthony Nelson of Wenatchee and Katherine Schober of Leavenworth; two step-children, who he considered his own, Jeremy and Derek Zaske of Vancouver, WA; brother, Steve McMillian of Anchorage, AK; and a sister, Dawn Schober of Leavenworth. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Dave St. Germain.

A Celebration Potluck will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at 12:00 O’clock Noon at the Dryden Gun Club. Ward’s Funeral Chapel, Leavenworth, is in charge of the arrangements.
