Devastating hike

It seems odd to me that the certified public accountants who are retained by many businesses on the coast have not spoken out on the implications of a 60 percent increase in the minimum wage. If the increase itself fails to bankrupt small business, the 7.5-percent share the employers pay into Social Security plus any additional unemployment taxes and industrial insurance premiums could be devastating.
