WENATCHEE — All that grumbling about lack of snow finally paid off. Most of North Central Washington got at least a taste of the white stuff late Wednesday afternoon.

Higher areas along the east slopes of the Cascades could get a little more today and through the weekend while lower areas get strong winds and rain.
