From a strictly practical view, there’s not much to argue against the Wenatchee School District’s $66.5 million bond, before voters Feb. 11.

When you have more students than classrooms, you either build more or keep somebody out in the cold. When you have old buildings that are inefficient, expensive, inadequate and causing problems, you either replace or remodel them. If you have, for instance, a roof over a subterranean locker room that is crumbling and leaking, you fix or replace it.
