Darrel Kirking, 61, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, died Jan. 9, 2014.
He had previously lived in Wenatchee. He had worked as a stockbroker, firefighter, dispatcher for Heartflite Air Medical Transport Service and as communication supervisor for Northwest MedStar. He then worked as director of a four-county EMS and Trauma Care Region in North Central Washington, and finally, as preparedness program director for Panhandle Health District.
Survivors include his wife, Terri Kirking of Coeur d’Alene; his sons, Kamron Kirking and Tyler Kirking; his brother, Kevin Kirking; and his sister, Dorene Russell.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Real Life Ministries in Post Falls, Idaho. Visitation will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at English Funeral Home of Coeur d’Alene.
