WENATCHEE — A surge in construction and tourism jobs helped trim slightly the unemployment rate in Chelan and Douglas counties in November. It was the 28th straight month of decline or no change.
The November unemployment rate in the two-county area fell to 6.8 percent, a 0.1 percent drop from the same month last year. Statewide, the jobless rate stood at 6.5 percent.
County numbers were released Friday by the state Employment Security Department.
