...HEAVY RAINFALL MAY LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING ALONG THE EAST SLOPES OF THE NORTHERN CASCADES... .A BAND OF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINFALL IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP IN THE CASCADES FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING INTO THE AFTERNOON. THIS BAND WILL ALSO CONTAIN SOME EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS WITH LOCALLY HEAVIER RAINFALL RATES THAT COULD LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING.

East Wenatchee, WA

Thomas J. “Tom” Grant, 63, a resident of East Wenatchee, WA, died Saturday, January 11, 2014, at his home in East Wenatchee. Tom was born on October 5, 1950, to Lawrence Edward and Edith Lucille (Childs) Grant at Seattle, where he was raised and educated, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1968. Tom later went to work for Great Northern Railroad, which became Burlington Northern Railroad. After 25 years, he retired from Burlington Northern and moved to East Wenatchee, where he enjoyed fly fishing and baseball.

He is survived by his son, Larry Grant of East Wenatchee; sisters, Louise (Douglas) Sussman of Massachusetts and Karen (Gary) Clough of Burlington, WA; and three grandchildren, Amanda, Isabela and Shelbi.

A Private Family Service and Interment will be held in the Old Leavenworth Cemetary. Ward’s Funeral Chapel, Leavenworth, is in charge of the arrangements.
