OKANOGAN — Jim Townsend had 33 points, and the Okanogan boys basketball team posted another blowout victory Friday despite losing star point guard Justin Rivas to injury in the second quarter, beating visiting Cascade 73-35.

Rivas hurt his knee in the first half, but returned and played the entire third quarter.

The Kodiaks shot just 3-for-29 from the field in the first half, while the Bulldogs, the top-ranked team in the most recent Associated Press state 1A poll, shot 19-for-30.
