EAST WENATCHEE — If the regular season is an arduous process of improving and learning valuable lessons, the Eastmont Wildcats showed they developed a skill that’s imperative for all state-caliber teams: hanging on to a lead.
Eastmont had no trouble in that department during a home game against cross-river rival Wenatchee on Saturday, winning an important Big Nine contest 60-51. The Wildcats built a 42-39 lead at the end of the third quarter. At that point, it was still anybody’s contest. But Eastmont saved its best work for crunch time.
