UPDATED 1/27 9:19 a.m.: This obituary previously misspelled the first name of Dwayne Reed. The error has been corrected in this version.

Dwayne Reed, 56, of Granite Falls, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013.

He formerly resided in Wenatchee. He worked in the commercial fishing industry in Bristol Bay, Alaska.

Survivors include his children, Derek Shlicker of Mill Creek and Traci Hyslip of Wasilla, Alaska; and siblings, Don Reed of Plain, Brad Reed of Monroe and Mike Powers of Granite Falls; and his sisters, Carol Perkins of Leavenworth and Teresa Myers of Naknek, Alaska.

An immediate family gathering was held Jan. 4.

Arrangements were by Funeral Alternatives of Snohomish County.
