Allan Gilbert Osborne, 89, of Mill Creek, died Friday, Jan. 17, 2014.

He was a former resident of Leavenworth for 12 years. He retired as a lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy Reserve in 1984. He had worked as a chemical engineer for DuPont and later worked for Hughes Aircraft, Autonetics, Singer Kearfott, Martin Marietta, Litton, John Fluke Manufacturing Co. and Honeywell, retiring in 1992.

Survivors include his wife, Dee Holliday Osborne of Mill Creek; his sons, Nigel Featherston of Redmond and Douglas Osborne of Olympia; his daughters, Laurie Clark of North Bend and Emily Furlong of Mill Creek; his stepdaughters, Paula Slater Coleman, Robin Slater and Cathy Slater, all of California; and his sister, Louise Chervenak of Issaquah.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1 at Valley View Bible Church, 9717 31st St. S.E. in Everett.

Arrangements are by Neptune Society and Acacia Funeral Home.
